Yvonne has been established as a versatile voice teacher and vocal coach for over thirty years at home and abroad (Canada, America, Europe and the Middle East). She works with actors, singers and dancers and has been involved in actor training for a number of drama schools including Elmhurst Ballet School, Drama Studio London and being Head of the Voice Department for the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art where she oversaw a large department delivering training to actors on all courses, providing rehearsal support to over 25 graduate productions working with writers including Mark Ravenhill and David Edgar and a range of directors including Kathryn Hunter, Mike Alfreds and Peter James.

In July 2007 Yvonne decided to return to freelance work. Since becoming an Associate with the Royal National Theatre’s Voice department she has undertaken company voice work for One Man, Two Guvnors (Dir: Nichoal Hytner) and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time (Dir Marianne Elliot)

Beyond theatre Yvonne works with journalists, TV and Radio presenters, sports personalities, lawyers, medical specialists, lecturers, teachers and politicians. Highly confidential work takes her into the Houses of Parliament and two of the Royal Palaces.

Yvonne has been assistant director on numerous Musical Theatre productions and directed a range of graduate productions over the years. She worked to co-write and direct “Father’s House” with Canadian composer, Brian Doerksen.

Publications: Yvonne co-wrote “More Care For Your Voice” (publ: VCN) for the Voice Care Network UK which has sold over 11,000 copies to date. She is currently working on two books: “Building Character Voices – a performers guide” and “In the Beginning …” which explores the power of words.
She is on the board of directors for Riding Lights Theatre Company and has just been re-elected as a trustee for the Voice Care Network UK.
